Since 2003 there was no change to bookmax.net, so the site looked real old fashioned and was based on ancient technology. But the userbase has grown to several ten thousands and so it was just about time to give you people a better user experience and a faster way to handle your daily tasks in bookmax.net. So the service was completely rewritten, using latest web technologies.

What does it cost?

Bookmax.net can be used for free with all basic features, this is called the Free Account. A detailed description of the features of the free account can be found here. How secure is my data?

The server is backuped regularly. In spite of this fact there is no guaranty provided, that your data will not be lost. So you better export your online bookmarks, lists, contacts or memos from time to time and save it on your harddisk. If there is any problem, you can re-import your backup files into bookmax.net.

Do you give any of my data to third parties?

No, definitely not! Your personal data, your online bookmarks and all information stored in your bookmax.net account are not given to anyone. The email address is used to send you your username and a new password, in case you ever forget it.

Why can't I access the updated version of bookmax.net with Internet Explorer 6?

For the 2010 update of Bookmax.net it was intended to only use most recent technologies like HTML5, CSS and AJAX for a better user experience. Unfortunately Internet Explorer 6 ist not up to date with latest web technologies, like its competitors Firefox, Chrome or Safari. you can use Bookmax.net with Internet Explorer 7 or better 8, but your best bet is to use one of the browsers mentioned above or Internet Explorer 9.
